
HOW WAS MVCCDC FOUNDED?
During the summer of 2002 a group of residents from the Morgan Village community, located Camden, New Jersey came together to discuss how they could socially and physically improve their environment and the quality of life of their neighbors. From this initial meeting Morgan Village Circle In Partnership was incorporated as a not-for-profit community organization. In 2004, the Partnership received a 501-c-3 status organization and changed the name to Morgan Village Circle Community Development Corporation (MVCCDC) to expand our mission.
OUR MISSION
The mission of MVCCDC is to reverse deterioration in Morgan Village to improve neighborhood life: engage in activities that support social needs, personal/civic pride and charitable goals, altruism that benefits Morgan Village residents and businesses.
Due to the limited services that the City of Camden provides, as stakeholders in Morgan Village, our membership has taken responsibility for our neighborhood. In an endeavor to advance our mission, our membership has been committed to volunteering the time and work needed to lobby the state accomplish the following:
